MOB-2949 Add Assets by UID Feature doesn’t work with GIS Objects/Tables.
Log in using any Freeance app config that has the “Add Assets By UID” feature enabled for inspections, has one or more GIS tables added to the Map Definition being used, and the GIS table is configured for asset attachment.
Feature workflow:
- Navigate to any existing inspection or work order record.
- Tap on the hamburger button on the top-right side of the page header and select the “update” option.
- Under the “Asset” section on the page, tap on the “Set” or “+” button and select the “By Asset ID” option.
- Set the “Entity Table Type” field to “Object”.
a) In the “Entity Type” dropdown, select the Cityworks Asset Group that is setup for the GIS object/table.
b) In the “Asset ID” field, input a valid entity UID for the GIS object/table.
c) Tap on the “Search” button.
Expected Results: The GIS object’s attributes should display in the “attributes” section on the page and the user should be able to attach the GIS object as an asset.
Creating a NEW Inspection or Work Order when adding assets by UID feature doesn’t work with GIS Objects/Tables.
Feature workflow:
Hit the “+” sign at the top right and it will take you to either the Create Work Order or Create Inspection page.
Scroll to the Assets section below and select the “+” sign. It will take you to the Map. Assets will be displayed on the map.
You have 3 different choices to pick from to select an asset to attach.
- Magnifying glass.
- Selecting an asset on the map with your finger or;
- Use the barcode reader to the far right, if you have bar coding enabled.
Notes about the feature:
- The magnifying glass will only be present if you have at least one map search configured in the Freeance App Config being used. Tapping on the magnifying glass will take you to your Map Searches. Tap on the map search you would like to use to search for an asset to attach. From there, provide any input necessary to search for and select your asset.
- The most common action is to tap on an Asset from the map. Select the i button to the right of the selected asset. If setup, you will see the Related GIS Objects associated with this map feature. Tap on the chevron arrow to the right of the Related GIS Objects label. A selection of GIS Related Objects will appear.
Select the related object you need associated with your inspection or work order. The counter in the upper right corner will display the number of assets selected. Hit the upper right check mark and the Entity Attachment List will be displayed.
Select the asset you would like to attach from the list. If a related object is selected, the Entity Attachment List page will list the parent entity UID alongside the related object’s UID in the form -. Once you have selected one or more assets on the Entity Attachment List page (where the selection is marked with a checkbox), hit the hamburger button in the upper right corner and select Attach to Work Order or Attach to Inspection. You are now back on the Create Inspection or Create Work Order page. Scroll down and you will see the Asset attached to the inspection or work order record.
- Barcoding an Asset will follow the same process as tapping on an Asset with your finger from the map. See 2 immediately above for the rest of the feature workflow.
MOB-2952 Inspections Object Type Assets Not Displaying if Object has No Related Feature
- Navigate to any inspection record that has a GIS object attached as an asset that does not have a parent feature related to it.
- View the “Asset” section on the page.
Expected Results: The object asset should be displayed, regardless if a parent feature is related to it or not.
MOB-2954: Long Dash “– “Included in Freeance API Response Results in Error.
Feature workflow:
- Login using any Freeance app config that has one or more UTF fields configured with a Custom Code Type in Cityworks Admin → Configure → Universal Custom Fields., where one or more Custom Codes includes a long dash “–” in its Code or Description (whichever is configured for display.)
- Navigate to any work order records create or update page.
- Scroll and view the “Custom Fields” section on the page.
Expected results: UTF fields setup with a Code Type in Cityworks Admin should be rendered as a dropdown selection., even if one or more Custom Codes includes a long dash “–”.
